Xpert Powder 5000 (wp)
XPERT POWDER 5000 (WP)
XPERT Powder 5000 (WP) is a calcium stearate dispersion designed as a water protective additive for cement-based construction forms, used as an internal additive. It is chemically designed to provide resistance to water penetration in structures like concrete blocks and masonry walls. XPERT Powder 5000 (WP) is readily dispersible in concrete and mortar mixes, ensuring uniform distribution for optimum water protection. Its action in blocking capillary seepage of water through the paste reduces damaging effects from water ingress, which is a detrimental factor for durability and resistance to frost damage and corrosive agents attacking steel reinforcement. Tests were conducted to determine its performance against water seepage through mortar mix specimens based on ASTM C-109, cured at room temperature, 100% humidity for 7 days, and 24 hours at 150°F, with water seepage measured in triplicate at atmospheric pressure. No water reducers were used as they can influence paste permeability. Results showing permeability when XPERT Powder 5000 (WP) was incorporated at 1.5%, 2.0%, and 3.5% solids based on cement content are shown in an attached diagram.
PACKAGING:
XPERT Powder 5000 (WP) is supplied in 10 kg bags (into 1 kg packing), lined poly bags. Store the product at room temperature to prevent damage. Additional handling information is contained in a Material Safety Data Sheet.
